Gâteau is a Bakery, Café & Tea Room located in a charming historic building in Old Town Warrenton, featuring upscale-casual cuisine and desserts in a quaint atmosphere. Completely renovated, this 160 year old building was the first bank of Warrenton and showcases the original vault doors, exposed brick and original wood floors.

The cuisine is eclectic, primarily French and American light fare with all day brunch and lunch. All of our menu items, both sweet and savory and including our breads, are made in-house using mostly organic and locally sourced ingredients. All of our cakes, fillings and frostings are skillfully made from scratch using select organic ingredients, no shortening, no dyes, unbleached and unbromated flour, aluminum free leaveners and non-GMO ingredients. You can taste the difference.

With an extensive list of teas, specialty coffees, craft cocktails and desserts, Gateau promises something for everyone.
